I guess my biggest dislike of the politicians repertoire is all the “Promises..Unkept.”
See, it’s easy to MAKE promises, but the hard AND MOST part is to KEEP the promises.
We’ve all had people make promises to us that they later broke. When a promise is NOT kept, we are left feeling betrayed and broken. Sadly, we’ve even done it ourselves to others.
I’m thankful that when God makes a promise.. He KEEPS His promise.
The Word of God is filled with His KEPT promises and with promises that He is STILL keeping.
Are you feeling alone or afraid?
John 14 16-18 “I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth … I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you”
Do you feel troubled or insecure?
Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Do you feel forsaken?
Matthew 28:20 “I am with you always, even to the end of the age”
Friend, TRUST in God today. No matter what you have faced, or WILL face..He will NOT abandon you. He will keep His promises to you.
The ultimate promise is that if we accept His Son; Jesus as Savior, that we will spend eternity with Him in Heaven. That’s a “Promise… Kept.”
Prayer starter: “Father, thank you for your promises. Thank you for your grace and mercy! Thank you for never leaving me and giving me a home in Heaven. Thank you for Jesus! It’s in His name I pray, Amen.”
