Eighth Day Appears With Stars Of Duck Dynasty At Proudly Pro-Life Rally
Nashville, TN (January 11, 2016) Eighth Day was recently invited to perform at the Proudly Pro-Life Rally held in Columbia, South Carolina at the South Carolina State House over the weekend. The events started Friday night with the annual banquet and awards ceremony. In attendance were Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Lindsey Graham, and featured speakers Al and Lisa Robertson of Duck Dynasty. Saturday, those in attendance marched to the Statehouse steps in support of Pro-Life.
The chart topping trio performed at both the banquet and at the rally on the steps of the State House. “We were so blessed to be able to participate in events that support such a fundamental belief in our Christian faith. The sanctity of human life being preserved is something that Eighth Day has been blessed to experience first hand. Derek Parker, our baritone, and his wife Karilyn were able to adopt their precious son Weston because of the birth mom choosing life,” stated Scott Robinson.
“It was a joy to work with Al and Lisa Robertson as well. Really neat folks that love Jesus; our kind of people! We will continue using all platforms presented to us to share the gospel message and encourage believers … even with the Duck Dynasty folks,” added Scott.
BMG President, Les Butler states, “Eighth Day served the entire Southern Gospel Music community, very well.”
