REVIEW: Paul Lancaster – My Tribute
Producer: Tyrone Dickerson
Record Label: Daywind Records

Paul Lancaster probably has one of the most consistent voices in Gospel Music today. He has been with several well known groups and filled in for countless others. Not only does he blend well but he has a smooth and controlled lead vocal. His most recent endeavor is with the Booth Brothers. Paul recently released a new solo effort, a tribute to Andrae’ Crouch. Paul sings some of the most popular and well known Crouch songs. One of my personal favorites is I’VE GOT CONFIDENCE. Paul delivers a solid vocal and great performance on these classics. If I had one complaint it may have been that there was too much synthesized sound. But overall it is a great album for your collection. This is what Paul had to say about the recording, via the Booth Brothers Website.
“I grew up during the 70’s in what was called the ‘Jesus music’ era. There was a lot of great Christian music created within that time and among the best was Andrae’ Crouch. He was also among the very first influences on my life, musically and spiritually, all the way back to the early age of 5 years old. That’s why it is my honor and privilege to be able to bring you my interpretation of my favorite Andrae’ Crouch songs. These all have been a part of the soundtrack of my life and now I am thrilled to have finally made a recording in tribute to one of the greatest songwriters of our time. Thank you, Andrae’, for leaving a wonderful legacy of TRUTH set to music and to God be the glory!”
Whether you are familiar with Paul or Andrae’ Crouch, this would be a good album to get acquainted with both!
