When A Plan Comes Together – Bryan Hutson
Back when I was a kid, there was a TV show called The “A” Team. The team was 4 former Special Forces soldiers, who had escaped a military prison and were now using their unique set of skills to help people.
The leader; Hannibal Smith, always devised a strategy to beat the bad guys and would say “I Love It When A Plan Comes Together.”
And it always did. In the 1 hour TV show.
How do we respond when we believe OUR “life’s” plan doesn’t come together?
Do we sit and fret? Do we blame other people? Do we blame ourselves? Do we question God?
Yes, I DO believe that God DOES have a plan for each of us.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
However, I believe that His methods are sometimes perplexing to our feeble, human minds.
Isaiah 55:8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
So we must learn to trust God and know that HIS plan for us is BETTER than OUR plan.
A few years ago, I attended the 40th birthday party of a guy who said “I just wished THIS would’ve happened in my life.” He was referring to a certain job that he always wanted. I said to him; “I do understand, but that is not what God wanted for your life.”
Friend, I don’t have all the answers. I don’t claim to always get it right. There are days that I also struggle with God’s plan. However, I’m learning that His plan is for my ultimate good. He loves me and He loves you.
Trust that “His plan will come together.”
Prayer starter: “Father, thank you for the plan that You have for my life. Help me to trust You more. In Jesus name; Amen.”
