Lindsey Graham Performs At Special Memorial Day Celebration

Lindseywithamputee326Estero, Florida (June 2, 2016) Gospel singer and instrumentalist, Lindsey Graham was honored to be invited to sing the”National Anthem” and “Heaven Was Needing A Hero” in honor of fallen soldiers and their families this past Memorial Day. The ceremony was presented by the Collier County Veterans Council, hosted by Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens in Naples, Florida.

The speaker was US Marine Corps retired Lance Corporal, Josh Wege. Young Josh lost both legs below the knee on his first tour of duty in Afghanistan when his vehicle struck a two hundred pound improvised explosive. He offered heroic words of remembrance and honor. The bugler was 92 year old World War II Veteran, SGT Robert McDonald, US Army Corp (Ret.).

Lindsey commented, “It was a beautiful sunny day in Southwest Florida. The people were decked in red, white and blue and honor hung thick in the air. What a privilege for me to participate in such a way as to honor my country and the American Soldier. Thank you to all who have served this great nation to provide life, liberty, justice and freedom. I am forever grateful and proud to be an American.”

Lindseyandbugler326The Pine Ridge Middle School Band directed by Kelly Parker accompanied Lindsey during her rendition of the “National Anthem”.
