Dahlonega, Georgia (June 22, 2016) One of the largest crowds ever to attend gathered at New River Park on Father’s Day weekend for the Karen Peck and New River Homecoming. Friday and Saturday were filled with fun, fellowship, food and nightly concerts. The celebration included performances by Jeff and Sheri Easter, Brian Free and Assurance, The Guardians, Allison Speer, and of course Karen Peck and New River along with the New River Band.
“We had a great Homecoming filled with many incredible moments throughout the weekend. John Rowsey filled in Fridayand Bill Shivers Saturday. We want to thank the Guardians and Brian Free Assurance for helping us out by letting us borrow their singers! Also the New River Band outdid themselves. David Owen, Dale Scragg, Craig Nobles, Danny Crawford, Matthew Gooch, and special guitarist Jeremy Medkiff did an outstanding job. We celebrated the Karen Peck and New River 25th Anniversary with some of our original members and were reminded of how blessed we were to travel with such great guys who are like family to us. Along with The Guardians and Brian Free and Assurance, Jeff & Sheri Easter and Allison Speer were amazing! We also want to thank everyone who came and supported our event. The dates for next year’s Homecoming are again set for Father’s Day weekend. They will be celebrating on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, 17th, 2017. The artists appearing to be announced at a future date.
