What God Wants From You – Terry Unthank

Terry Unthank326It’s amazing that a God who created the heavens and earth, and all that abide within, would want anything from us. Remember our righteousness is as filthy rags. But it’s true God wants you.
In the beginning God created man. Why? To be in fellowship with Him. God had the Angels to worship Him, however He wanted someone to love Him and worship Him not because they had to but because they wanted to. So man was created with a freewill. So what does God want from us.
I would like to talk about three of the things He wants and desires to have from us. First is our life. John 3:16 tells us that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. When we give God our life, He exchanges our life for His everlasting life. What a great exchange.
Next is our witness. Mark 16:15says “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” He wants us to be His witnesses, telling others how good He is. John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
Finally God wants our praise. He inhabits the praises of His people. He loves to have your praise and worship. He wants to hear from you how much you love Him and how much He means to you

If you ask Terry Unthank who he loves the most, there is no question about it, God is the answer. Terry accepted Christ into his heart at the age of five. He received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of seven, and answered the call to preach when he was eight years old. Terry has been singing since a very small child. He recorded his first album (cassette only) when he was a teenager. Terry also has been promoting Christian concerts since 1998. Over the years he brought in many artists including Avalon, The Crabb Family, Dottie Rambo, The Martins and many more. Terry was honored for his achievements in ministry by being awarded a key to the city of Fairfield, Ohio, and having a day named Terry Unthank Day by then Mayor Ronald D'Epiffanio. Terry has just recently released his new self titled cd, recorded at Daywind Studios in Hendersonville, Tn. This cd includes six new songs including two written by Terry. There is also three hymns and one cover song. Along with pastoring the Miracle Revival Center in Lindenwald, Ohio Terry enjoys sharing the new music with others.
