The Blackwood Brothers are certainly no strangers to Southern Gospel Music. They have been around since 1934 and have sung many, many songs. The current lineup of this famous group is comprised of Billy Blackwood, founding and original lead singer, James Blackwood’s youngest son, Michael Helwig, Butch Owens and Wayne Little have recorded a new project, titled, “Classics, Volume 1”

Filled with many songs fans know and have loved for years but the group puts their traditional, male quartet spin to them in only the way the Blackwood Brothers can! Featuring songs such as popular hymn, “I’d Rather Have Jesus”, “The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power”, “Who Am I”, “The Eastern Gate”, and “The Love of God”

These guys sing them simply, yet passionately, remain true to traditional quartet sound and they do it well. You will be glad you gave this classics collection a listen!
