REVIEW: Gold City – Treasures of Gold
Producer: Daniel Riley
Record Label: New Haven Records
Website: www.goldcityqt.com
Favorites like “I Cast My Bread Upon The Water”, “Peter, James, And John,” and “Never Too Broken To Belong” are included on this new project. These favorites are sure to stir your heart and bring you back to the previous days of Gold City.
“I Will Stand” is the first new composition and is the latest Gold City single. Lyrics like “I will stand upon the truth of Jesus. He’s the reason I’m alive so how can I not live to make him known” invite the listener to rise on a firm foundation and make the message of the Gospel known in these last days.
“Ain’t No Limit” is a brand new Kenna West, Joseph Habedank, and Jason Cox written song. A swampy guitar lick kicks the song off. Verse one brings the listener to the Bible Days of the Israeli victory of the red-sea crossing. Verse two brings modern society to a platform of absolute trust and conviction in the God is Israel. As the song says, “If God is in it, there ain’t no limit”!
“If Church Pews Could Shout” is the final new feature and quite possibly the greatest of the three. This story songs recalls a preacher man of long time who has stood and preached the Gospel. The melody and lyrical content of this particular song bring to memory the good times of salvation and rejoicing that has taken place in this particular church. The last verse of the song is a surprising and heartwarming truth of eternity.
From start to finish, you will find this release a five star album. From production to lyric content, you are blessed and beyond pleased.
