The album begins with a fresh arrangement of the classic title cut, “Blessed Assurance.” An acoustic guitar and a progressive drum track really bring this song to life with Guy’s tender vocal.
“Before the Throne of God Above” is a very mention-worthy tune. Lyrics like “My name is graven in His hands, my name is written on His heart” bring the listener to the eternal reality of the salvation and unrelenting love of God. “Standing In The Need Of Prayer” is a great memorable lyric with a progressive-bluesy arrangement. This would make a great radio single choice.
