I absolutely love love love BIG DADDY WEAVE and their new project, WHEN THE LIGHT COMES, just might be one of their best yet. Now let me assure you this is not a “southern gospel” project. This is just great “heart” music that reflects Jesus love, hope, mercy, grace, strength and all He has for each one of us. It is contemporary Christian music at its best…its simply incredible music that is certain to touch the heart.
BIG DADDY WEAVE is known for incredible songs that many of us have heard. Their #1 song, REDEEMED stood at the top of the charts for months and won multiple awards and still is played on radio daily all across the world. Their new project, WHEN THE LIGHT COMES is one of their best to date. THe group members, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk, Brian Beihl along with their leader and frontman Mike Weaver have each learned what it means to live by faith, trust in God and listen for His voice amidst everything that comes our way, both good and bad. The songs on this project come from each one of the group members walking thru and experiencing all kinds of devastation, grief, pain, hurt and loss. In the midst of all of what they were all dealing with, they started writing songs about the journey and decided to share the depth of it all. In the midst of the recording, they started feeling the healing and joy began to rise. Thus the NEW project is a beautiful tapestry of God’s redemption and healing for all of us.
The first single is ALIVE, and it’s already been a number one hit for them in the last few months. A few of my favorite songs on the project for many reasons are I KNOW (powerful), TURN ON THE LIGHT, THE NAME OF JESUS, YOUR LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING, well honestly every one of these songs by this amazing group speak to me in one way or another. I highly recommend this project not only for you, but also for you to give to another person who is needing some strength and joy.
One of the best CDs of 2019. These guys live what they sing and sing what they live, and this new project is a testament to that.
