NASHVILLE, TN – May 9, 2024 – Tuesday evening, May 7, the 23rd Annual Absolutely Gospel Awards were presented the historic Capitol Theater in Lebanon, TN. Creators and music professionals who are part of the Daywind Music Group (DMG) family received awards, led by Karen Peck & New River and Southbound who were both honored to receive two (2) awards each. DMG received awards in the following categories:
Fan Favorite Artist/Group of the Year – Karen Peck & New River
Cornerstone Award – Dottie Leonard Miller
Southern Gospel Male Vocalist – Joseph Habedank
Positive Country Male Vocalist – Scotty Inman
Male Group of the Year – Southbound
Southern Gospel Female Vocalist of the Year – Karen Peck
Special Event Project of the Year – Josh Singletary
Southern Roots Single of the Year – Somebody Testify (Southbound)
Engineer of the Year – Justin Kropf
Producer of the Year – Wayne Haun
In addition, DMG artists Donna Ulisse, Chosen Road, Karen Peck & New River, Josh Singletary, The Nelons, Tribute Quartet, and Southbound performed as part of the show. Karen Peck served as the show co-host.
Dottie Leonard-Miller, owner of Daywind Music Group and New Day Christian Distributors, received the Cornerstone Award in recognition of her 44-year career in the Christian and Gospel music industry.
