The History Channel has a new series called “Live To Tell.” This program shares real stories of real life War heroes. Stories filled with narrowing escapes, seeing fellow servicemen and women losing their lives and the heartaches of war.

I have a deep appreciation for those who have served and given their lives for our freedom. The stories of survival need to be heard.

Have you ever thought that YOUR story of survival needs to be heard? No, you may not have served in the military or been in a life or death situation but if you’re a survivor of LIFE and it’s heartaches, your story needs to be heard. God has allowed you to “Live To Tell.”

I believe God allows things in our life, so that He might be glorified. He also wants us to share our stories of His faithfulness to help and encourage someone else.

When others hear your story of how God brought you through a tragedy or situation, it can strengthen them and point them and their faith TOWARD God. It can give them HOPE.

1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”

We may not understand WHAT God is doing in our lives, but we can trust that He’s working for our good.

Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Share your story. Share how God has rescued you. Live to tell of His goodness and mercy.

Psalm 35:28 “Then my tongue shall tell of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long.”

Prayer starter: “Father, thank you for allowing me to share Your goodness. Help me to speak a word of encouragement today to someone who needs hope. In Jesus name.”
