The Month For Love

bevmccann As I was pondering and asking God what this month should be about, I could not get away from “Greater Love hath no man than he lays his own life down for a friend” John 15. Go ahead and read the whole chapter ……..

God has called us his friend. I have thought about this passage for days, and how many people do you call friend that you would lay your life down?
God loves us so much that he gave us his Son, and Jesus loved His father and He loved us so much that he was willing to give up His life for us.

We want to be pick and choose who we share God’s love with, and that is not what God requires of us. He has told us to love, “Show the world my Love that they may know me.” Let us take time to share the Love of our Blessed Lord this month and the whole year, but especially this month, for February is the month for Love 

Now my next thought was this……we women, have come rather accustom to Valentines being all about us  yeah I know … and we love the flowers , the special things, and all that goes with this special day we love it all and we like feeling that we are special. But ladies what do we do for our man ? I asked my husband for some input and he said a day at the shooting range, (not sure what I should think about that)  then he quickly recovered. Seriously gals, let us come up with something special for our guy this valentine’s day and surprise him with trying to make him feel as special as we want to feel…. Now guy’s don’t let me down, you make sure and make your wife or your special girl know how much you love her too…..

Look at Jacob: Jacob was in love with Rachel and told her father Laban “I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel to my wife.” Gen 29:18 Jacob loved Rachel. And he said, “I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.”

Now men, aren’t you glad you don’t have to work to get us, you just have to work the rest of your life to keep us …..Sorry just a little humor..

Enjoy your month and make sure you show the Love of the Lord in all areas of your life this month….

Serving on the boards of the USAGEM, as well, as MCCF and ACCMA has been a blessing to my life. I feel that God has used these organizations to help me further his calling in my life. I am a Wife, Mother, and grandmother of a beautiful family. We have 17 grandchildren all together. I am loved by a wonderful husband and my family. I / We are truly blessed. Do we have our issues or problems, we sure do, but through the Grace of God we are overcomers and victorious. I was raised in church my whole life and started working in the church in one way or another at about 17 yrs old. I knew when I was around 13 that I would be working with kids and who knew what else. I always dreamed of singing and traveling but I never thought I would get to do what I do. It is just amazing at times. Over the years God has healed me, helped me forgive, and live a Victorious life through our Lord Jesus Christ. See sometimes you never know what someone has gone through, just because they are happy and seem to be free-spirited, we never know the hurt God has healed and brought them through. I am thankful that God saw fit to help me through the years I struggled, but I am ever so thankful he gave me freedom of the past and a blessed and joyful victorious life through Christ.
