Jeff Stice Signs With Daywind Instrumental

jeffsticethruitall3Smiths Grove, Kentucky (October 7th, 2016) – Jeff Stice is pleased to announce he is joining Daywind Instrumental, a division of Daywind Music. He is thrilled to join its roster of accomplished musicians.

Jeff Stice has had a passion for the piano since the age of six. That passion quickly took a turn toward Gospel Music. Jeff started playing for his father’s quartet at the age of fifteen and went on to accompany legendary groups such as The Rex Nelon Singers, Perfect Heart, and most recently, Triumphant Quartet. He started in 2015 touring with Michael Englishand The Nelons on the Sing Tour.

During his time with Triumphant, he enjoyed GRAMMY and Dove Award nominations, two Absolutely Gospel Music Ovation Awards (Musician of the Year in 2015 and Traditional Recording of the Year in 2014 – Producer),  He was voted MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR in 2007 by the Southern Gospel Music Guild, as well as the honor of being named Musician Of The Year by the readers of Singing News Magazine a total of six times. Audiences across the globe have enjoyed his exceptional talent and afforded him the opportunity to perform on stages such as Dollywood, the National Quartet Convention, and Carnegie Hall.

One of Jeff’s most cherished honors was being inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in May of this year along with The Nelons as a member of The Rex Nelon Singers.

Jeff stated, “God never ceases to show me that if I will put my hope in Him, He will orchestrate every page in my life… Even when I don’t realize it, He supplies my every need. To be an artist on the Daywind label is such a blessing, and to be a part of the Daywind family is just further proof that my Heavenly Father sends friends to all of us to help and encourage us . I’m excited about making music with Daywind and I’m thankful for this chance!”.

Jeff Stice’s first release with Daywind Instrumental is planned for early 2017.

Formed over 19 years ago by Deon & Susan Unthank originally as SoGospelNews.com, the site was birthed from an email discussion group by the same name. The SoGospelNews email discussion list was created by the Unthanks after the Singing News shut down its extremely popular discussion list. SoGospelNews started as a simple webpage listing artists, fans, individuals, etc. that were avid supporters of the newly formed SoGospelNews talk list. The site eventually took on printing news for Southern Gospel artists, and eventually took on reviewing the latest recordings from both signed and independent artists within the small genre. SoGospelNews became the most viewed Southern Gospel website on the Internet with over 4,000,000 hits per month.

The Unthank family are now involved in the site, as well as the addition of over two dozen staff writers. The website is based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In April 2010, SoGospelNews changed its name to AbsolutelyGospel.com. The name change allows them to cover news items of not only Southern Gospel, but also Country Gospel, Inspirational, and Black Gospel.

On January 5, 2011, Susan Unthank passed away, leaving the website in control of Deon, their son, Chris, and their daughter Amy.
