The Browders - The Message

Producer: Kevin Ward & The Browders
Label: Independent
Website: http://www.thebrowders.com/index.html

The Browders of Hiltons, Virginia are a family group consisting of Tommy Browder, his sons, Matthew and David, and Matthew’s wife, Sonya. One of the greatest things about The Browders is that they play much of their music live with Tommy on acoustic lead, David on bass, Matthew on rhythm guitar and Sonya on piano. They also write most of their own music including every song on their latest project.

Their latest cd entitled The Message kicks off with a neat, driving acoustic song called Dream. Message of the Cross is their brand new single. It is a great power ballad featuring Sonya. Cast the First Stone is a great country inspired style reminding listeners about John 8:7. Those wanting a strong old school feel to a song will love Land of No Goodbyes. Praise You in this Valley is a beautiful ballad encouraging us to praise the Lord in the valley even when the plan is hard to see. King’s Kid is a great song that has enjoyed great success at radio. The project closes out with a tender, intimate song called Fall On My Knees that absolutely highlights the vocal abilities of Matthew. The listener almost feels like their eavesdropping on someone’s quiet time with God.

This project is very enjoyable. You can tell The Message is not just the message that God wants you to hear; it’s the message of this group’s heart. Pick up a copy as soon as you can!
