Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and Ben Speer with the students of Stamps Baxter School of Music

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Visit Ben Speer’s Stamps Baxter School of Music

NASHVILLE, TENN. (July 23, 2010)—Ernie Haase & Signature Sound performed on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Ben Speer's Stamps Baxter School of Music in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The evening was especially poignant for Ernie Haase. “I've got a picture on my wall of an 18 year old George Younce attending the Stamps Baxter School of Music. To be here 50 years later is very special to us. As I looked out on the audience of students, I wondered to myself who the next George Younce will be. We loved being with Ben Speer and everyone at Stamps Baxter School of Music. Ben Speer has done an amazing job carrying on the legacy and excellence at the school."

"That's the way a quartet is supposed to sound!" Ben said to the students immediately following the concert. Later, he commented: "I was delighted to see how Ernie connected with the audience of students, inspiring the next generation of musicians.”

On Saturday, July 24, 2010, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will present a Concert Tribute to The Cathedrals Quartet. The evening will be hosted by Bill Gaither and will feature Ernie Haase & Signature Sound singing the best-loved songs from The Cathedrals’ legendary repertoire of quartet standards. With their own unique style, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will honor their quartet heritage while breathing new energy into gospel hits that have been favorites for decades. Although the show is sold out, the magic will be captured on DVD and CD to be released by Gaither Music Group on October 26, 2010.
