Satan’s Crummy - God Is Good

I don't think that it's big news to tell you that Satan is crummy. The Bible tells us that Satan is going about seeking whom he may devour. He isn't particular about what part of your life he tries to devour. In the past few months he has attacked me and my family relentlessly. We had to cancel a huge weekend of singing because of the Nashville Floods. He's caused financial hardships with several unexpected troubles that set us back a bit. He attacked my family keeping two of them in bed unable to function for running to the bathroom. Another family member has been in the hospital two times for a total of about three weeks.

If all we could see was the hurt and destruction that Satan was doing, our world would be most miserable. The second half of the title of this article probably isn't life changing news to anyone either, but it is truly unappreciated and never expected. As I looked up at the sky the other day, I couldn't help but notice the beauty of the clouds in the sky. As I was viewing the clouds I was really struck by the blessing that I could see the beautiful creations of God's handiwork. I was taken back by the thought that I was taking those beautiful sights for granted. How many people don't have the eyesight to see a gorgeous sunset. I am blessed, God is good to me.

We experienced the best Awards program this year that we have ever had. It was the biggest crowd and we were blessed with Johnny Minick arranging to stream the program, allowing thousands who couldn't be there be a part of the wonderful evening. As most of you know, Susan (the workhorse behind the Absolutely Gospel Music website) is handicapped and she had gotten to the point that she could no longer use the vehicle that we had. God laid it on the heart of someone to donate to the Sunday Edition (the parent corporation of AGM) a totally handicapped equiped van that Susan can now just drive her wheelchair in to. No more transferring from the wheelchair to the van seat. No more scary moments of falling or nearly falling.

While we are facing some health problems and finances are still sparse, we are basking in the blessing of the Lord. It's like what the scripture says is really true, what the Devil meant for harm, the Lord is turning to our good.

Satan is still crummy and still fighting everything we are trying to do, but God is still good and still delivering us from Satan's attacks I've got to end this article, I've got to go praise the Lord for a while.

I think many times in our life we are so busy dealing with the bad, that we fail to take the time to see the good. We just have to open our eyes or open our ears and see or hear or feel God's love.
