Spoken For Trio from Prattville, Alabama have been singing gospel music in the southeast region for over 15 years. Husband and wife team, Robin and Joy Simpson and soprano Patricia Hudman, along with her sound engineer husband Brian, comprise the trio. Their latest release, After Grace, features many familiar favorite songs fans are sure to enjoy!
The project kicks off with “Blue Skies Coming,” and the trio’s tight sound is felt throughout this energetic song!  Patricia is up next with the lead on The Hoppers classic, “Grace Will Always Be Greater than Sin.” She does a good job making this her own.
Robin’s smooth baritone vocals are featured on “Just Another Rainy Day.” Again, this is another fine performance from the group, and their energy is felt throughout this fun song! Joy, who has a rich, commanding alto voice, shines on the LordSong hit, “If Not For the Old Rugged Cross.” Her sound is definitely the cornerstone vocally for the trio.
“Shout to the Lord” is one of the strongest performances from the trio. Their harmony is flawless and solid on this classic worship song.  Other highlights include “Look What I’m Trading For A Mansion,” “I Got A Hold of God Today,” and “There is Power in the Name of Jesus.” Spoken For Trio has a solid sound, and they do a great job. It would be awesome to hear them with some fresh, new material.  I am sure we haven’t seen the last from this bunch.
