Charles Billingsley is no stranger to most any fan of great Christian music. His appeal covers several genres and styles, but for the most part he has established himself as truly one of the premier male vocalist’s in the praise & worship- inspirational-light pop CCM category, and he continues to not only serve as the Worship Leader at Thomas Road Baptist Church as well as an Artist in Residence there, and then adding to those responsibilities he is the co-founder and an main instructor at Liberty University’s Center For Music & Worship. He has a full plate with all of those responsibilities, plus in addition to that, he has a wife, two sons and travels as much as possible sharing his heart and ministry of music to many other conferences and top churches across America. Charles has a passion to share God’s great love, hope and redemption thru the powerful gift of music.
His latest project RIGHT HERE, does just that. Music that has no boundaries when it comes to touching the hearts of those who are in all kinds of situations in life. This project was produced by two exceptional producers in Christian music who both have numerous Dove and Grammy nods to their credit, Seth Mosely and Keith Everette Smith. The production team along with Charles have assembled a wonderful fresh project that is definitely a light CCM pop project with several hits of praise and worship thrown in. I have loved listening deeply to the lyrics and music of the songs, along with Charles impeccable voice. He truly is one of the finest singers out there today! You can feel the passion and love for Jesus as he makes each song his own.
A few of my favorites are, JESUS YOU ARE, incredible ballad stating who Jesus is for each of us…MAJESTY, HERE I AM…SEE YOU AGAIN, an incredible duet with powerful worship leader and artist, MEREDITH ANDREWS…and one of my new favorite songs RIGHT HERE.
I love it when an artist is not afraid to sing and share about their faith, their Jesus, their hope in Him and their life’s struggles and victories. Charles does just that and more in this new project. I highly recommend it for those people who love great music and not afraid to step out of their comfort zone of “only Southern Gospel”. You will love this project.
