Hey, did you know that simply saying “THANK YOU”, to someone who has given you something, will encourage the GIVER to keep GIVING. Well, it’s SO TRUE. GIVERS are wonderful people and they don’t ask for anything in return, but when those TWO SIMPLE WORDS of “THANK YOU” are given back, it’s an equal exchange. It’s Pastor Phil of Harvest Chapel with a GOOD WORD from GOD’S WORD today.

Do you remember the phrase, “INDIAN GIVER”? As a boy I thought that referred to a person who gives you a gift, THEN takes it BACK. But that’s not at all what that means. It simply means, “a present for which an equivalent return is expected.” A settler by the name of Thomas Hutchinson in 1765 coined the phrase, as the Indian’s manner of trading. Indians always traded for something of EQUAL VALUE and would never take a gift back once it was given.

So, a REAL INDIAN GIVER today never wants ANYTHING BACK, but there’s a PHRASE of EQUAL VALUE of TWO SIMPLE WORDS, “THANK YOU” that makes for a pleasant exchange. Of course, the greatest giver of all time is our Heavenly Father and 1 Timothy 1:4 says, “Everything God created is GOOD, and nothing will be rejected, if it’s received with THANKSGIVING,”

It’s Pastor Phil saying, “THANKS for taking the time” for this “GOOD WORD FROM GOD’S WORD TODAY”. God bless.
