Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver’s newest recording, BURDEN BEARER, is a throwback to classic gospel songs. The vocals and instrumentation are very precise and spot on. Every song has excellent vocals and harmonies. The a cappella arrangements are tight and strong. For lack of better words, this is a very well put together recording. The arrangements and singing are simple and straightforward gospel songs reminiscent of a time long passed. This is one that will definitely take you back and long to be there. The album boasts twenty tracks. WRASTLIN’ JACOB was probably one of my personal favorites along with the many great a cappella songs. You will surely find a favorite or a few with BURDEN BEARER. Classic, Traditional, Gospel Music. Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver hit the nail on the head.
