REVIEW: Tribute – Here For You

In 2006, Gary Casto and Josh Singletary, long time members of The Wilburns, formed Tribute. Since then, these guys have been burning it up with great songs, strong vocals and a rich, male quartet sound that is unmatched. The group’s latest release features the vocals of Casto and Singletary as well as tenor singer Riley Harrison Clark and bass singer Anthony Davis. Here For You has some great moments and some fabulous songs!
Tribute always has some great ballads on their projects, and this one is no exception. One of my favorites is “When the Prodigal Comes Home” and “Grace at It’s Best” Both are strong songs of hope, love and of course grace! Both are sure to be crowd favorites in concert.
“Somebody Sing Me A Song” has a bit different stylistic flair to it but it’s another fine performance and stand out performance for Josh Singletary. Bass Singer Anthony Davis is featured on “That’s How I Know,” and this may be one of the best performances from him to date.
The Connie Hopper penned “Jesus Saves” is also featured on the project, and it has a fun, convention style feel to it. The guys do a great job with it. The project’s closing song, “Nothing Stops the Savior’s Love” is a great way to close this stellar project, and this is sure to be another barn burner of a ballad for the guys.
Tribute knows how to pick strong, wonderful songs, and they know how to sing them. The vocals are solid, strong and their blend is impeccable. You need to add this to your collection!
