Cross Pointe Trio is a traditional southern style gospel group from Lancaster, Ohio that started singing together in March 2009. They are made up of tenor Bill Pitts, alto Joni Townsend and lead Debbie Wright. Bill is the Pastor of Cross Pointe Free Will Baptist in Lancaster, Ohio and thus the group name.

The project kicks off with “I Wish I Could Tell You,” a peppy toe-tapping song about how great God is and of His mercy and grace and how it is hard to explain. It’s something that you just need to experience to understand! “When The Hammer Fell” is their latest single and has a concept video on their website. Several familiar songs that you have probably heard include “Jesus Will Pick You Up” made popular by Brian Free & Assurance and “He’s In Control” from Austins Bridge.

“Your Love Has Never Failed Me” and “Embrace The Grace” are slower songs with great messages of how God sees us through and loves us even when we lose our way. “Angels” is a song about how they walk among us and protect us. “Sometimes God Burns Your Bridges” is a peppy bluegrass sounding song. You will be clapping along for sure.

“Wade In The Water” is a 50s-style song. Another great message is in the song “When He Saved Me” as it tells how God knows what we have done but He looked beyond that and saw what we could be. What a message and love He has for us. Last but not least is a familiar hymn “My Jesus, I Love Thee” and is an a cappella version.
