Being the son of a Country Music star and having the last name of Golden, Chris has had a steep hill to climb to reach the pinnacle of success he has been striving for. Going for what he knows, Chris reached back and got some familiar songs with a nice Country flair and then he quickly made his own.

Chris opens this project with his title cut, “On The Sunny Banks”. He then moves on with a song written and made popular in the 60’s by Glen Campbell, “Less Of Me”. He puts his own mark on this one and others, like “Leaning On The Everlasting Arms” and “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus”.

He has a little family session on the CD when he sings the Oak Ridge Boys hit, “Thank God For Kids” as his his father, William Lee Golden of the Oaks joins him as guest singer, and then sing the #1 Gospel hit song penned by his brother, Rusty, What Salvation’s Done For Me”.

The CD is a great collection of songs featuring some older classics as well as some newer songs like “Love Is A Cross” and “Show Me The Way To Go”. There is something on this CD for everyone and a must have for anyone who loves the old Country sounds of the church.
