I sure do love GREAT gospel bluegrass music! I mean I really love love love it! And this latest project by truly some of the greatest in bluegrass, LITTLE ROY and LIZZIE is one of the best projects to come along in quite a while. Of course Little Roy has been doing this for years and him and the amazing vocalist Lizzie Long have brought us a wonderful new release that is sure to please us bluegrass fans, of course those other fans of SG music will enjoy this as well. I am never sure how one reviews a project like this, since you are dealing with truly some of the best in the bluegrass and southern gospel industry.
The title of the project, GOING HOME, really does set the pace and tempo of the record as so many of the songs just seem to flow along, taking us to that place that we all call home. Songs that just make you feel good and inspire you a little more on the journey. Songs that really stood out to me and that I have had to go back and listen to a few times over and over are, TODAY IS GONNA BE A BETTER DAY, DINNER ON THE GROUND (with the legendary Oak Ridge Boys), FEELS LIKE RAIN, COFFEE IN THE MORNING of course I am a huge coffee lover and this song just is sweet), WHEN I STOP DREAMING and of course I thoroughly enjoyed the closing song, TRAVELING ON, featuring the amazing Jeff & Sheri Easter and incredible bass singer with Signature Sound, Paul Harkey.
This CD will stay in my car for awhile and I highly recommend you get this one! It will make ya feel good and and it will cheer you up when you need it!
