The Jay Stone Singers have been singing southern gospel music for over 40 years. Bobby and Sharona Carter, along with their young adult children, Stone and Emma, comprise the current lineup of this group which hails from North Carolina.

The project features some fresh, new songs penned by writers such as Kenna West, Lee Black, Karen Peck Gooch, and John Mathis as well as Stone Carter and Bobby Carter.

The project kicks off with Emma Carter taking the lead on the middle of the road pop friendly tune, “Just Receive It.” Emma’s voice has matured so much in recent years, and she does a great job on this! Bobby’s unique voice is featured on “I’m Saved.” This song, previously recorded and written by Karen Peck Gooch, is a fast paced testimony song. Bobby’s delivery is good, and he makes the song his own!

Stone is featured on “Kept By the Promise Keeper” which is a great ballad. His vocal abilities shine on this song of hope and encouragement! Sharona, the most seasoned vocalist in the group, is featured on the beautiful, tender “That Beautiful Tomorrow.” Her unique alto tones are soft and pretty, yet she delivers this song with conviction!

Other highlights include the medley of “Cornerstone/I Go to the Rock,” “Come Thirsty,” and “I Wont Turn Back.” Jay Stone Singers might not be the most awarded family groups on the road, but they are solid and sing good songs and sing them well. Check this project out; you’ll be glad you did!
