This project starts off with the title cut “Hope Survives.” I like the message in this song. The production is very commercial contemporary. I could hear this playing on a contemporary Christian radio station. It is followed by “Via Dolorosa.” This is drastically different from the previous song. It’s a more classical song choice and vocally done classically as well. They still did a good job on it, though.

“Unforgettable” takes the feel back to contemporary. This is a pretty cool song. Next up is “More Than Conquerors.” They switched back to a classical sound on this one. “Come To The River” is another slow song. This one is pretty. I like the words to it. This song is a mix between contemporary and classical, which ties the album together.

They follow it with the traditional, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” The arrangement and vocals are very good. The harmonies are very pretty. “Bring Him Home” is another classical choice and another slow selection. “Let Us Be Light” is next. The music sounds like something from a dramatic movie. The message is good. Traditional “Amazing Grace” follows. The track they had made for it, however, is very untraditional. It is a very unique version of this song. They end the album with “To Make You Feel My Love.” This is actually a pop, love song. However, they made it into a Christian song. I love it!

This group is very versatile. This is the first time I have heard them. I enjoyed this project. It keeps you guessing. If you’re looking for a project that is consistent in style, this is not it. It sounds like they couldn’t decide whether they wanted a contemporary or classical album, so they just did both. They do a great job at both styles, though. I think it’s better to pick a genre and stick with it when doing an album. However, they blended this one well. All of the vocalists are talented. Their voices blend well. My biggest complaint on this album is all the slow songs. Great job guys!
