A Note from Bev
The Bible tells us that we should have Wells of living water flowing through our lives, Joh 7:38 Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, (KJV) says, “Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” which is the Holy Spirit. Jesus used the term living water in Joh_4:10 to indicate eternal life. Here he uses the term to refer to the Holy Spirit. The two go together: Wherever the Holy Spirit is accepted, he brings eternal life available to all who believe in Jesus as Savior.
So, I ask you, “How is the spirit flowing through your life today”? If you have had a rough month or didn’t feel like you did the best you could do, that’s okay we’ll just give it another whirl this month. Jesus is a God of 2nd chances, sometimes we need a 3rd and 4th and so on don’t we? The children of Israel needed 40 years and more at times. I would not advise you to go that long, you might miss out on lots of great things that the Lord has in store for you in your walk with Him.
We all find ourselves in places of need at one time or another. Sometimes we find ourselves in a place of confusion and or sadness that has overwhelmed our life. These are not areas that Jesus did not walk through. Do you think he wanted to go through what he endured for you and me? He prayed with such conviction and that he sweat great drops of blood over what was before him. He knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but he also knew no one else could do what he had to do to give us the gift of eternal life. Wow, do we or have we forgotten what all Jesus has done for us, that we think that we can just do whatever we want to do whenever we want to do and then ask God to forgive us when we know we are on our last leg of life? You know we do not have a guarantee of tomorrow my friend. Today is the Day of Salvation. We need to live our lives as though Jesus is coming to dinner today, or we might meet him face to face today. Let’s not see how many sins and or secrets we can try and hide and get away with, but instead, why don’t we see how much Jesus we can share in and through our life every day.
Let us come to the living water, let us hold up our brothers, sisters and neighbors in prayer. Let us take a moment to share the living water along the way. God wants to give His peace, and rest, to restore you today if you will allow Him to.
The water that if you drink, you’ll never thirst again.
I do not say these things lightly, I’ve walked through this valley, I know the pain, however, I also know who can restore us and make us whole through His Love.
He’s Living water, the joy that comes is restoration for our weary souls and minds.
We are never alone. When it comes to hard times, the bible tells us of King David. He had more woes than most of us will ever have and not as much as some. However, he helps us see that God is ever so faithful and merciful to us all.
Psalms 91, is one of my favorite passages in the bible. “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High” it just starts off with a bang, the promises of peace and protection.
Ps: 30:5 the promise that “joy will come in the morning”
Ps: 18-30-35: reminds us that Gods ways are perfect; He is our strength, and He is the one that gives us the strength “hinds feet like a deer” to be able to climb the steep mountains in our Lives. God may not remove the difficulties but, He will give us the tools, His grace and mercy to make it through the rough times of our lives.
Sometimes we just have to hold on and refuse to let go of His hand until the storms pass by. Keep your eyes on Jesus and know that “His Strength, God’s Strength, is Perfect” and His Grace is sufficient for all that we go through here on this earth. For there is nothing that can or will compare to the Joy that will come when we see our Saviors face.
Please take a little time to read these scriptures this month I’m sure that they will lift your spirit and put a bounce in your walk and smile on your face, just knowing how much our God cares for you.
Blessing to you all, until next month.
