In early September of this year, some of our AGM staff participated in the Liberty Quartet Mountaintop Retreat at Trinity Pines Camp & Conference Center in Cascade, Idaho.

Upon arrival it became apparent that the surrounding wildfires would necessitate adjustments to outdoor activities, but the indoor atmosphere and fellowship remained warm and inviting. After settling in, attendees joined everyone for dinner and the first of the evening concerts with Liberty, complemented by devotions led by retired senior pastor Kent Conrad, focusing on the week’s concept of being a ‘Nudge Responder’.

Friends enjoyed spending time fellowshipping together in the dining hall, talking and having fun, sharing stories, prayer requests, or just playing a good game of domino’s! There was always plenty of fun things to do!

It was a special treat to have in attendance Cathedrals Alumni, Danny Funderburk and his wife Shelley! Getting to soak up the stories and wisdom of this Gospel music legend was simply put, Awesome! Liberty even convinced Danny to get up and sing one with them, much to the delight of the crowd!

One notable night at the camp featured prominently visible flames, raising concerns about possible evacuation. Fortunately, Wednesday morning brought a significant rain shower, easing tensions and prompting collective relief. Our sincere gratitude goes to first responders who bravely face danger daily.

The Liberty Quartet Mountain Top Retreat yielded numerous blessings, refreshment, and renewal, amidst beautiful surroundings and warm hospitality. We strongly endorse attending next year’s event. It’s a beautiful place with beautiful people serving with a smile and a heart as big as Idaho!
