An Encouraging Word: Bev McCann- “Happy Fall”
October 2024
Welcome Fall,
Hello everyone! We are in our fall time of the year, October is over, and November is
already here upon us. I love this time of year. Watching the leaves changing into their
vibrant colors and the hillsides covered with the beauty that God has granted us to look
upon. Seasons are a time that we reflect on our lives and looking forward to the events
ahead. All the hayrides and corn maze trail and all the fun. Now we are starting to look
at Thanksgiving upon us and Christmas just around the corner.
Time goes so fast and it seems that every year the time picks up a little speed. My
daddy use to tell me “Well just wait till your 80!, time really goes fast”. We giggled and
now that he’s hanging out with the angels and prophets and all our loved ones, I’m
realizing that we need to celebrate everyday that we are given. God wants the best for
his children, and He desire for us is to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to his
ways.
Love, Life and every breath is a gift from God. We sometimes forget that God gives his
children good gifts and blessings upon blessings. I’ve been studying about the blessing
and how we have a choice to walk in the blessing of the Lord. The word of God tells us
in his word in Deuteronomy 28, that if we will fully obey the Lord our God, that he will
bless us and He will defeat our enemy. We do not have to defeat the enemy, because
our God will fight for us. However, His word tells us that we must obey, obey his
commandments. We need to desire to be like Jesus. We cannot want to be as the
world is and expect to receive the blessing of the Lord.
We want the blessings, but we want them on our terms. This is not how God laid it out
for the children of Isreal nor for us today.
Psalms 31:19-21.
“Oh, how great is your goodness to those who publicly declare that you will rescue
them. For. You have stored up great blessings for those who trust and reverence you”
………
Philippians 1:7 , Blessing are not not only for the good times but are for the rough times
as well. Paul and Timothy tell us that even in prison 8: only God knows how deep is my
love and longing for you-with the tenderness of Jesus Christ.
Can we strive to be more like Jesus and share the love of our Heavenly Father. Let us
share the blessings that God has given us to share. Salvation is the gift that keeps on
giving.
Happy Fall:
