An Encouraging Word: by Bev McCann
A message from Bev McCann
I know that we all meet a variety of people on our travels. I am amazed by the variety that God has made. Then I see so many that have the look of worry, stress and pain on their faces. The gloom of unhappiness on their faces. Many of us have faced so many changes and losses over the last few years.
Our country has been turned upside down and twisted, with what is wrong being right, and what was right now being wrong. How can this be? We ask ourselves, but if we look deep inside our lives, we have compromised in places that we thought we would never. We all are guilty of saying, “they can do what they want to; it doesn’t affect me.”
I hope and pray that we are making a change for the good of our country. But again, we all have an opinion on that, don’t we?
But the only opinion for our souls is the opinion of God and his word.
However, now we look back and see that these things have affected and infected our lives as well as the Christian community. The little deceitful things that are lies from the pits of hell.
Life is full of changes. I saw a billboard the other day that read….. “ Life “ it’s just a temporary position.’ Wow, just a few words yet so powerful. When you see or read something like that, it just puts things in perspective, doesn’t it? We are here for a season, and ………. Where will you be?
You know, going to church does not make us a Christian, we must ask Jesus to come into our lives, because our Lord and savior, forgives us of our sins, and wrongdoings… The amazing thing is, Jesus will forgive us, cleanse us, and set our feet upon the rock with joy in our hearts.
He (Jesus) is the Prince of Peace, and no matter what comes our way, we can always count on the promise that God gives us in His word…. Isaiah 26:3, Psalms 4:8, 37:11, Philippians 4:7, 2 Peter 1:2, and in 2 Thessalonians, the bible tells us that God will give us and has given us Peace, If we trust in the Lord. So, I hope that whatever comes your way this month that you will be able to find the peace that passes all understanding, which is given by Jesus.
Be blessed indeed that you can be a blessing.
Bev
