Sometimes things just don’t go as planned. Interruptions. Irritating. Frustrating.
Ain’t nobody got time for that.
I hate being late. I’d rather be 30 minutes early than a minute late. It’s just me. I’ve always been that way. When I get delayed or have to wait on someone it rubs me the wrong way. I get so upset. Blood pressure sky rockets, teeth clench. It’s a human response. If it starts at 5:00 p.m., let’s start at 5:00 p.m. Not 5:10 or 5:15ish. .
But sometimes life happens and my little plans get turned upside down. Sometimes it is God and sometimes it’s just life. But, the Bible says to give thanks in all things. Hmm! I wonder if that means on the morning my car won’t start, or the garage door breaks, or you stub your toe, or you get a phone call with not so good news, or traffic is backed up bumper to bumper…hmm. ALL THINGS? I’m trying to learn (I have been for years) that God has my best interest in mind. The bottom line is…He loves me! That makes everything better. We still have to live. We still have to deal with life’s daily situations (some good and some not so good)
But if I know I can trust God then I’ll get through it! No matter what I’m facing…In ALL things give thanks.
