An Encouraging Word: Bev McCann- “Share The Good News”

March 2024

A Note From Bev.

Spring is in the air and the celebration of the Passover/ Easter is upon us.  I pray that ya’ll will have a blessed Easter.

As I was talking to the Lord about what to talk about this month, I felt the Lord leading me in this direction, I hope you’ll be as blessed as I have been.

Ps; 8 starts with “ O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens…..goes on to read in vs 3 & 4 says “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers the moon and the stars you set in place, what are people that you should think about them vs 5 “Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor………..  then you go to 1 Corth 15:27-34 talks about Christ being the ultimate authority over all things on earth and when Christ died on the Cross and rose again, He took the power over death, Hebrews 2-6-8 read again, “ What are people that you should think of them…..yet you made them only a little lower than the angels …. You gave them authority over all things……. God the Father and Jesus the Son have given us authority through his name to do mighty things in and through the name of Jesus, the name above all names.  We read in, I Corth, to be careful who you hang out with because bad company corrupts good character. (Vs 34.) Think carefully about what is right and stop sinning. For to your shame, I say that some of you don’t know God at all.

It all boils down to this. God gave his One and only Son to die a horrible death on the cross for us, so that we could have forgiveness of our sins and live in Grace, and we have the privilege to carry that truth to others in this world.  God will not tolerate sin forever; he will not let His name be shamed.  The Bible is quite clear we need to live right and live what we talk.  Let us not stand up and say that we are Christians if we are not going to stand up for what it means.  We must love the sinner but hate the sin.  God is a just God and a merciful God; our nation is at a very dangerous crossroads; keep God? Or throw God out?…. We need to pray for the leaders of our country that God will somehow get a hold of their hearts and minds.  We need to speak up and out loud Jesus Christ is Lord and He is alive forevermore. Let us not be ashamed of the Gospel for it is what sets us free and gives us hope of eternal life!!!!

So let us share the Good News with everyone so that when God opens the door for you to speak to someone, be ready to share with them the Blessings of the Lord this month.  Look for opportunities to share with someone the Love of God. I was sitting in a restaurant with some friends a couple of weeks ago and saw an older gentleman sitting all alone and I felt like I just needed to say hello and share the love of God with him. I did.  We talked for about an hour, and we ended up praying before I left. He thanked me for taking the time to sit and talk with him.  I must say I felt so much better after taking the step to be a blessing and following the Lord’s prompting.  If you cannot find anyone to share God’s love with, you are not looking very hard.  The world is searching and if you have Jesus you have the answer.

Have a Blessed month.

Serving on the boards of the USAGEM, as well, as MCCF and ACCMA has been a blessing to my life. I feel that God has used these organizations to help me further his calling in my life. I am a Wife, Mother, and grandmother of a beautiful family. We have 17 grandchildren all together. I am loved by a wonderful husband and my family. I / We are truly blessed. Do we have our issues or problems, we sure do, but through the Grace of God we are overcomers and victorious. I was raised in church my whole life and started working in the church in one way or another at about 17 yrs old. I knew when I was around 13 that I would be working with kids and who knew what else. I always dreamed of singing and traveling but I never thought I would get to do what I do. It is just amazing at times. Over the years God has healed me, helped me forgive, and live a Victorious life through our Lord Jesus Christ. See sometimes you never know what someone has gone through, just because they are happy and seem to be free-spirited, we never know the hurt God has healed and brought them through. I am thankful that God saw fit to help me through the years I struggled, but I am ever so thankful he gave me freedom of the past and a blessed and joyful victorious life through Christ.
