Absolutely Gospel’s President, Bev McCann

We came through another year! God has blessed us all with another day to Praise Him and Worship His Blessed Name.  The name above all other names, the name that scares some and excites others.  The name that will set the captives free! Heal, Deliver, and renew our lives daily.  Who am I talking about?  Yes! His Name is Jesus! 

I hope and pray that y’all had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the new year in celebrating with friends and loved ones.

All of us at one time or another get to a place where we just want to say, I can’t wait till this year is over and we can start fresh with the New Year. 

I have said that a few times myself, life is so full of ups and downs, but these are times we can grow in our walk with the Lord if we lean on Him.  If we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, He is our help. 

We must remind ourselves that God does not keep a record of our mistakes and failures, the devil, however, keeps them all written down so he can throw them in our faces and our path.  God puts it in the past and leaves it there as far as the East is from the West.  No one is perfect but how thankful I am and I’m sure you are as well, for the Grace of God and the His bountiful mercy that He shows us every day.  I am thankful that God sent his son Jesus to bear our sins on the cruel cross so we could have remission of our sins.  There is not one of us that is perfect, but we must be forgiven to make it to heaven.  We must acknowledge that we are sinners and that we need forgiveness of our sins through Jesus.   We need to have the word of God planted deep into our souls and minds so that we may not sin against our heavenly Father.  David wrote it in psalms.

Psalms 119:10  With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 

Psalms 119:11  Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:16  I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.  

Let us get a fresh start in 2024 by putting the word of God deep into our minds and souls. So that we will stand strong in the battle before us.  Jesus is always near, His Faithfulness, Mercy, and Grace never fail, and His Love endures forever.

Serving on the boards of the USAGEM, as well, as MCCF and ACCMA has been a blessing to my life. I feel that God has used these organizations to help me further his calling in my life. I am a Wife, Mother, and grandmother of a beautiful family. We have 17 grandchildren all together. I am loved by a wonderful husband and my family. I / We are truly blessed. Do we have our issues or problems, we sure do, but through the Grace of God we are overcomers and victorious. I was raised in church my whole life and started working in the church in one way or another at about 17 yrs old. I knew when I was around 13 that I would be working with kids and who knew what else. I always dreamed of singing and traveling but I never thought I would get to do what I do. It is just amazing at times. Over the years God has healed me, helped me forgive, and live a Victorious life through our Lord Jesus Christ. See sometimes you never know what someone has gone through, just because they are happy and seem to be free-spirited, we never know the hurt God has healed and brought them through. I am thankful that God saw fit to help me through the years I struggled, but I am ever so thankful he gave me freedom of the past and a blessed and joyful victorious life through Christ.
